Phase 1: Into the Sahelian Wild
- Day 1: Arrival in N'Djamena Touch down in the capital and transfer to your hotel. Relax at Chez Wou or opt for a luxury upgrade to the Radisson Blu to prepare for the desert ahead.
- Day 2 - 4: The Great Northbound Trek Leave the city behind as we traverse 1,260 km of diverse landscapes. We’ll pass the Rock Ab Touyour (Mountains of the Vultures) and enter the Guéra region, home to the Hadjerai people. Witness the "stone country" before reaching Abéché, the historic crossroads of the old caravan routes. We conclude this leg in Kalait, your gateway to the Sahara. Accommodation: Expedition Camping under the stars.
Phase 2: The Ennedi Masterpiece
- Day 5 - 7: Archei Region & Saharan Wonders Deep dive into the Ennedi Plateau, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the Guelta d'Archei, a breathtaking desert oasis where thousands of camels drink alongside the world’s last surviving Sahara crocodiles.
- Highlights: Discover the ancient "Sistine Chapel" of the desert at Manda Guili Cave and marvel at the natural stone "castles" of Terkei and Toukou. Accommodation: Wilderness Camping.
Phase 3: Culture and Capital
- Day 8 - 10: The Return Journey We loop back through the Abou Telfane massif, focusing on the ethnology of the region. Meet the Arabic Sara and Sara Kinga communities in their isolated mountain villages before arriving back in N'Djamena for a well-deserved shower and soft bed.
- Day 11: N’Djamena City Mastery Go beyond the surface with a guided tour of the National Museum and the vibrant city center, uncovering the complex history of this Sahelian hub.
- Day 12: Farewell Final airport transfer for your international flight home.
