Expect daily game drives and night drives with expert park guides, guided walks with a ranger, and relaxed time at Tinga Camp. Travel through the Guera massif toward Lake Fitri, meet Hadjarai communities, and learn about transhumance and local crafts. The tour includes private airport transfers, comfortable stays in Zakouma with full board, a supported tented camp night near Mongo, and all park guiding and ranger services. You can look for elephants, buffalo, big cats, and vast birdlife at classic water points, then unwind under dark Sahel skies.

Day 1:  Arrive in N’Djamena

Our team meets you at the airport and handles the transfer to your hotel. You settle in, rest from the flight, and receive a short trip briefing so the adventure starts smooth and unhurried.

Day 2: N’Djamena to the Bokoro Region

About 300 kilometers with stops. The drive heads southeast through Massaguet and Bokoro into nomadic zones on the edge of the Guera range, then into the Bitkine agricultural belt. You reach our tented camp in time to unwind as the light fades. Breakfast, a picnic lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 3:  Bitkine to Zakouma National Park

About 350 kilometers not counting visits. The road crosses the Aboutel fan corridor, a sacred Guera massif once used as a high perch by Hadjarai communities. After a picnic on the way, the track enters the park perimeter and your first wildlife sightings begin even before you arrive at Tinga Camp. You settle into your room and enjoy dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast, a picnic lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 4: Full day safari in Zakouma National Park

You will go on safari in a specially equipped park vehicleswith experienced Zakouma guides, moving between water points and open plains. A picnic lunch is served in the bush and the evening focuses on predators and other nocturnal life. All meals are included.

Day 5: Zakouma Naitonal Park Safari

On foot and by night. At first light you can join a guided safari walk with a ranger. Midday is a chance to rest and watch life gather near water. After dark you head out again with spotlighting and night-vision equipment to see Zakouma national  park in a different rhythm. All meals are included.

Day 6: Communities Around Zakouma National Park

The day is devoted to meeting people in villages that border Zakouma. You see how anti-poaching partnerships and local projects have reshaped livelihoods and conservation, with support from regional and international partners. A picnic lunch is taken on the move and, if time allows, you return to the park edges for late wildlife viewing. All meals are included.

Day 7: Zakouma to Mongo via Abou-Deia and Mount Guera

You exit the park to the east as granite domes rise along the route, then skirt the foot of Mount Guera. The road passes Hadjarai villages and small cabarets that serve shorgo and millet beer. Women working peanut and sesame plots and traditional terracotta pottery offer a window into daily life. Villages like Sisi and Dafra echo the cliffside charm of Dogon settlements. You camp near Mongo and share dinner under the stars, prepared by our cook.

Day 8: Mongo to N’Djamena and Departure

The route rejoins the main road via Ngoura. Markets and roadside encounters with nomadic herders keep the morning lively. Back in N’Djamena you have time for a shower at the hotel.
