N’Djamena Essentials Three Day Tour

N’Djamena, Chad’s capital is located near the natural border with Cameroon and strategically located at where the Chari River and Logone River Converge. The city was founded as a colonial outpost in 1900 by the French and was known under the name Fort-Lamy and has meanwhile grown to a metropolis with over 1.5 million inhabitants. N’Djamena today pulses with energy: colorful markets overflow with spices and handmade crafts, minarets and church spires stand side by side, and the warm hospitality of its diverse communities welcomes every visitor who crosses the rivers into this gateway to the Sahara and the heart of Africa.

Our three day discovery city tour to N’Djamena is perfect for travelers with limited time who want an authentic introduction to Chad’s capital before continuing their journey elsewhere in the Sahel. Our local travel agency can also assist with a legalised invitation letter to get your visa for Chad.

You’ll arrive at NDjamena International Airport and settle into your hotel on the first day. On the second day we’ll dive deep into the soul of N’Djamena with a guided city tour. We'll visit the Grand Marché, the National Museum, the cathedral, the monumental Great Mosque, the lively artisanal center, and the historic heart of the old city. We will organise your airport transfer on the third day.

Our N’Djamena city tour package is the ideal snapshot of culture, history, and everyday life in one of Africa’s most intriguing and rarely visited capitals.

“The trip was great, my team of three (Abakar the translator, Oumer the driver, Zakaria the cook) were fantastic. Everything went smoothly from my point of view. The vehicle was comfortable and reliable; and the food on the journey was surprisingly good. I enjoyed the markets en route (especially the one in Aboudeia).”
